Job Title: Strategic Development Program Trainee

EMCO Waterworks/EMCO Aqueduc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Development Program Trainee to join our team. As a Strategic Development Program Trainee, you will progress through a 5-phased program to learn every aspect of our business, from shipping and receiving to sales, operations, purchasing, account management, and more.

Job Summary:

The Strategic Development Program Trainee will be responsible for learning and operating various software systems, managing large-scale projects, and developing strong relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn and operate various software systems used to process orders
  • Manage large-scale projects and coordinate logistics and resources
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Participate in social media marketing and presence for the development programs
  • Collaborate with the profit centre manager to develop program goals, objectives, and implementation plans
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, training sessions, and community events
  • Participate in all aspects of the business, developing processes, and assisting in the elimination of bottlenecks to increase profitability
Requirements:
  • College and/or University degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with fast-paced customer service or counter sales
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate math skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn how to operate material handling equipment
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
