At FortisBC, we are seeking an exceptional leader to lead our Vegetation Management Program. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of energy to our customers.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic thinker who can bring strategy to life. As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for developing, refining, and executing vegetation management programs. You will work closely with a diverse team of professionals to continually improve and execute vegetation management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement vegetation management programs that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a team of professionals to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of energy to our customers.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility by justifying, developing, and tracking designated operating budgets and business plans.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited university, plus a minimum of eight to 12 years of recent and related experience in construction or field utility work within a leadership capacity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage with key external stakeholders.
  • A goal-oriented mindset that includes the ability to set targets for yourself and your team, monitor progress, and actively make corrections to achieve goals.
