About the Role

Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Program Director to provide strategic leadership and enable the success of assigned program areas.

The ideal candidate will oversee workstreams, lead teams through harmonization, development, design, coordination, and implementation of initiatives and strategies required to support core Human Resources systems transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership by recommending proactive adjustments to policies and operational business processes.
  • Oversee technology and systems changes as necessary and recommend new or improved sustainment plans.
  • Directly lead project teams to ensure timely and effective planning, coordination, configuration, integration, implementation, and standardization of project deliverables.
  • Maintain strong connections with operational and content experts across Interior Health and the provincial project team to ensure harmonization/core design alignment with overall project goals and timelines.
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, respond to requests from WSBC, identify hazards, communicate risks, ensure employee training compliance, conduct incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.

What You Will Work On

  • Lead planning, implementation, and sustainment of HCMS initiatives related to identified workstreams and ensure evaluation processes are in place for lessons learned dissemination.
  • Provide project leadership, making timely business decisions regarding project budget and resource utilization according to established processes and approval procedures.
  • Ensure accountability for project milestones, reporting progress and status to the Executive Director and Project Director.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director to monitor project budget, risk assessment, and status reporting, providing effective communication and coordination with other teams, programs, and leaders within Interior Health or outside agencies/working groups as appropriate.

Job Requirements

  • Manage projects and initiatives effectively in a multidisciplinary and complex environment using project management principles, methods, and tools.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and workflow development, identifying risks and mitigation as required.
  • Assist the Project Director in developing and recommending project charters, plans, schedules, and status reports, incorporating change management approaches to ensure success in complex multi-partner settings.
