Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Contract Administrator to join our Construction Phase Services group in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As a key member of our contract administration team, you will be responsible for the administration of civil provincial and municipal infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts for civil infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and company policies.
  • Liaise with project managers, designers, field inspectors, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Assist in the coordination of field duties and tasks, including quality assurance inspections and specialist activities.
  • Prepare contract documentation, including agendas, minutes, instruction notices, and change orders.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts, as required.
  • Liaise with clients to identify future construction opportunities.

Requirements

  • OACETT 'rcca' designation or Professional Engineers Ontario designation.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering infrastructure construction, with a focus on highway and bridge construction.
  • Minimum 1 project experience as an Assistant Contract Administrator on MTO, regional, or municipal contracts with a construction value greater than $5 million.
  • Proven ability to estimate construction schedules, quantities, and costs.
  • Experience with progress payments, change orders, leading site meetings, and providing guidance to field staff.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, associates, and clients.
