Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement recovery-oriented treatment plans. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and screenings to determine client needs and eligibility for services;
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, including short-term brief interventions and follow-up support;
  • Providing group therapy, family support, and education using various interviewing and counseling methods;
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes and reports;
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and service delivery;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or a related field;
  • At least two years of recent experience working with clients and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders;
  • Valid Class V British Columbia driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes;
  • Eligibility for registration with relevant professional associations;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mental health assessment skills, crisis intervention techniques, and psycho-pharmacology used in psychiatric treatment;
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills;
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $104,000 - $126,400, depending on qualifications and experience.
