Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team at Coast Mental Health. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering trauma-informed care to individuals who have experienced trauma and may have concurrent disorders.
The successful candidate will oversee recovery-oriented goal planning, group development, and program implementation for our 41-bed enhanced transitional housing program in Coquitlam. You will work collaboratively with program staff and a peer specialist to provide individualized support and psychoeducational groups utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement recovery-oriented goals and plans for clients
- Conduct psychoeducational groups and provide individualized support
- Collaborate with program staff and a peer specialist to achieve client outcomes
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma recovery
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university
- Registration with the BC College of Social Workers
- A minimum of two years' experience in a similar setting with a mental health or addictions-related agency
- Valid BC driver's license for local area travel
- First Aid Certificate and WHMIS completion upon hire
- Criminal records check required if hired
Salary Information:
The estimated salary for this position is between $42,270 and $52,810 per year, based on a full-time schedule and location in Riverview.
