Indian Cuisine Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Cuisine Chef to join our team at Chola Indian Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of traditional South Indian dishes to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
- Transportation/Travel: Public transportation is available, and willingness to travel is required.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, overtime required, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
