Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Charminar Indian Cuisine in Scarborough. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including South Indian and East Indian cuisine, to meet the demands of our restaurant.
- Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are in good working order.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure that the kitchen and work areas are clean and safe, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a fast-paced restaurant environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Physical Capabilities: The successful candidate will be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.

- Permanent Work Term: This is a permanent role, offering stability and security for the right candidate.
- English Language: English is the primary language spoken in the kitchen, and proficiency in English is required for this role.
