We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Charminar Indian Cuisine in Scarborough. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our menu and quality standards.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen setting is preferred.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant environment, with a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.
- Cuisine Specialties: Experience with South Indian and East Indian cuisine is an asset.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
