Mount Saint Vincent University is a leader in innovative education and a welcoming community. As the Associate Vice-President, University Relations, you will play a key role in advancing the university's reputation and strong relationships across the university community and beyond.

The successful candidate will have a vision for building strategic partnerships and managing government relations, communications, and marketing efforts. You will be responsible for formulating strategies to enhance MSVU's reputation and relationships with important constituency groups such as government, donors, alumni, partners, community members and leaders, faculty, staff and students.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our executive leadership team and contribute to fostering equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) across all facets of the university, within the local community, and in society at large.

About the Role
  • We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of post-secondary education and a proven track record of successfully managing complex issues and change management.
  • A Master's degree and Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation would be considered an asset.
  • You will have experience working within the post-secondary environment and effectively managing large-scale capital campaigns or other fundraising initiatives.

In this role, you will oversee government and community relations, communications and marketing, and advancement (fundraising and donor stewardship, as well as alumni relations). The successful candidate will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of directors, managers, and staff in these areas.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
