This is a remote/hybrid position, allowing you to work from anywhere in Canada. Please note that if you're located in Ottawa, you'll be expected to work 4 days a week in our office.

About the Role

The Director of Total Rewards will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, driving the development and implementation of our global total rewards strategies. This includes executive compensation, global compensation, sales compensation, short-term and long-term incentive programs, global benefits and leaves programs, job architecture, and organizational design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and execute total rewards programs and processes, ensuring effective communication, adoption, measurability, and alignment with overall corporate strategy.
  • Conduct complex analyses and prepare materials for Executive audiences, including our Board of Directors.
  • Conduct competitive market analyses and research, staying current on emerging trends and identifying opportunities and gaps.
  • Develop and administer executive compensation programs, including equity-based compensation, deferred compensation, and executive perks.
  • Maintain the organization's salary structure, including job evaluation, salary surveys, and analysis to ensure competitiveness in the market and internal equity.
  • Negotiate with vendors and service providers to access best-practice tools and resources.
  • Participate in global M&A activities, collaborating with legal services and internal partners on integration and onboarding requirements.

Requirements

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting, designing, implementing, and executing total rewards programs in high-growth, global companies, preferably in the technology sector.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team responsible for developing and operating total rewards programs.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and expertise in data and financial modeling and scenario planning.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Location: Remote/Hybrid (Canada-wide), with potential for occasional in-office work in Ottawa.
