Siemens Energy is seeking an Export Controls Specialist to support the business units and the Global Export Controls team in implementing and monitoring the company's export compliance program.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Canadian export controls, the Controlled Goods Program, and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). They will be responsible for supporting the business units in establishing and maintaining export control processes, reviewing shipments and classifications, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the business units in establishing and maintaining export control processes
- Review shipments and classifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist in the determination of export permits requirements and support the preparation of export permits submissions
- Support the review of IT systems for compliance with Canadian legal requirements
- Maintain records of all permitted exports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, law, or business
- Experience in a high-tech corporate environment
- Excellent command of English and French, both oral and written
- Highly proficient with IT systems, including Microsoft suite
