Procurement and Sourcing Expert

Humani HR is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Sourcing Expert to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in sourcing materials and managing supplier relationships to support our business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, source, and negotiate construction material accessories, MRO supplies, and lumber for our manufacturing facilities across Canada.
  • Analyze pricing, lead times, and terms to make informed purchasing decisions and agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance, negotiating contracts, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Proactively analyze market and commodity trends, including pricing, new products, and potential suppliers, to ensure Humani HR is receiving competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with existing or potential suppliers to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Maintain Purchase Information Records (PIR) and coordinate standard cost updates with our Finance Teams.
  • Prepare and review supplier performance results, including OTIF, quality, and pricing, with suppliers.
  • Execute various company policies to ensure suppliers are compliant.
  • Gather, maintain, and organize key documents and information for compliance, such as signed service agreements, CUSMA documents, DUNS information, etc.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and logistics, to ensure procurement aligns with broader company goals.
  • Support the product development or R&D teams in sourcing materials needed for new products.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and other continuous improvement or cross-functional projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years proven experience in procurement/sourcing, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Bilingual/Fluent in English and French is required (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Strong relationship building skills, negotiation skills, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in software, preferably SAP, PowerBi, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.
