Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our CASE Group under the supervision of our Marketing Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers and products, building strong relationships and driving profitability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide up-to-date market information and relevant market pricing to the commercial team to gain market share for the portfolio.
  • Maintain inventory within corporate targets and ensure that all inventory held is covered by back-to-back agreements.
  • Negotiate appropriate payment terms in line with the business needs of the product line.
  • Negotiate the best possible pricing and terms with each of the suppliers in the portfolio.
  • Provide timely pricing and technical information to the sales team.
  • Monitor the profitability of all transactions for the portfolio and adjust as needed.
  • Maintain good communication with suppliers to ensure awareness of their needs and market conditions.
  • Monitor service levels provided and give feedback as needed.
  • Closely monitor customer product demand and proactively adjust inventory and procurement levels as needed.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or college diploma and/or bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field.
  • At least 3 to 5 years' experience in a procurement of raw materials position.
  • Strong negotiating skills and detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate oneself, demonstrate autonomy, learn new technologies, and adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and cooperate with others to achieve results.
