Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the team in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory at Vancouver General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill clients with unpredictable outcomes.
  • Enhance the quality of life for clients and their families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in critical care nursing practice.
  • Participate in hospital committees and research projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of a recognized nursing program in emergency care or critical care nursing, or two years' recent experience in a related field.
  • Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client/family-centered model of care.
  • Thorough knowledge of the indications, actions, reactions, routes, dosages, and side effects of anaesthetic and other drugs used in critical care environments.
  • Ability to assess and manage critical and life-threatening situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
