Critical Care Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to pursue a Critical Care Certificate through the BCIT Critical Care Program. Upon successful completion, you will work in the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient/resident status through chart reviews, observations, and interviews
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing nursing interventions and evaluating outcomes
- Provide direct nursing care, including crisis management and life-threatening situations
- Document patient/resident information, including assessments, plans, and progress
- Lead group patient/family sessions and coach patients/residents to develop health-promoting behaviors
- Provide direction to other staff, including Care Attendants and Licensed Practical Nurses
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge and ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Decision-making and analytical skills
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
