Dalhousie University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position as an Environmental Policy Expert in Marine Affairs. This role is part of the Dalhousie Diversity Faculty Award (DDFA) initiative, aiming to increase the number of faculty members from underrepresented groups.

The successful candidate will join the Marine Affairs Program, which offers a Master of Marine Management degree and conducts cutting-edge applied research in areas such as climate adaptation, blue economy, marine resources, and coastal development.

We seek candidates with expertise in environmental policy, particularly in the context of marine management. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service. Experience in transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches is highly valued.

This position comes with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional development.

The normal teaching load is three courses, including required and elective courses aligned with the candidate's research expertise. Additional responsibilities may include supervision of graduate students, committee work, and departmental service.
