Ambassatours Gray Line Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to join their team in an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our fleet.

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will assist in maintaining operations of Transport Canada Inspected Passenger Vessels, ensuring the Safety and Security of the Crew, Enjoyment of the Passengers, and Respect for the Environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain vessels to provide guests and crew with a safe, reliable, and aesthetically pleasing fleet.
  2. Lead repairs and maintenance of Transport Canada inspected passenger vessels.
  3. Adhere to all company policies.
  4. Supervise vessel sub-contracted services and repairs.
  5. Maintain compliance paperwork as required.
  6. Routinely inspect all areas of the vessels for unsafe conditions.
  7. Assist the Director of Marine Operations in maintaining and arranging maintenance of the company's assets.
  8. Assist in completing both on and off-season Repair and Maintenance projects.
  9. Assist in completing repair and maintenance budgets.
  10. Assist in completing/creating preventative maintenance program.
  11. Assist in maintaining/sourcing parts inventory.
  12. Maintain and update vessel logs as necessary.
  13. Maintain and update work orders.
  14. Complete on-call shifts and have flexibility to work within operating hours.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

This role requires standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to or exceeding 50lbs. The marine hospitality business functions outside typical business hours. During the operating season, hours outside of a regular Monday-Friday schedule can be expected.
