Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process medication orders that have been clinically reviewed and approved by a pharmacist
  • Receive and verify prescriptions from practitioners, ensuring they are complete and authentic
  • Prepare and process prescriptions, including counting, measuring, packaging, and compounding medications
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions
  • Enter and maintain accurate records of medication and prescription information
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Maintain inventory and stock levels of medications and supplies
Requirements
  • Grade 12 and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
