Teaching Opportunity at Ontario Tech University

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic instructor to join our team as a Sessional Lecturer. The successful candidate will have a strong background in education and a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver a theoretically sophisticated and relevant course at the university level, utilizing a technology-enhanced learning approach.
  • Prepare, deliver, and grade all course material and assignments, and be available for consultation with students.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative environment, maintaining effective relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Manage course delivery, marking of assignments, and respond to student enquiries in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in education is required, with a PhD being an asset.
  • A member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers is required.
  • Experience in teaching within the K-12 classroom context, with a proven ability to infuse technologies in practice as purposeful teaching tools.
  • Demonstrated evidence-based or research-informed practice, with experience working with teacher candidates during practicum placement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in teaching pre-service teacher education programs.
  • Experience working within an LMS and online learning environments.
