Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with a salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and a strong knowledge of culinary practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation and cooking of complete meals or individual dishes and foods;
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed;
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively;
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment;
  • Clean the kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment;
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., culinary arts);
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Strong knowledge of culinary practices and procedures;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment;
