About the Opportunity

The Toronto School of Management is seeking a highly experienced Strategic Marketing Leader to oversee marketing and communications strategies across GUS Canada Colleges. This is a one-year fixed-term position, offering a salary range of $115,000 to $125,000.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Operational Management:

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives to support enrollment management and meet institutional goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to align marketing efforts with institutional priorities.
  • Provide creative direction for digital, social, and traditional marketing channels.
  • Oversee campaign planning, execution, and analysis, including cost management and vendor collaboration.
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure consistency across all publications and materials.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the marketing function.
  • Prepare and track budgets for marketing and communications.

Content, Communications, and Community Management:

  • Oversee strategic direction and communication efforts on public-facing marketing channels.
  • Purchase and coordinate print advertising that aligns with the integrated marketing plan.
  • Create and implement print, video, and online publications, web/email strategy, and interactive marketing and social media.
  • Manage high-profile video projects with in-house resources.
  • Manage social media content creation and distribution, overseeing institution-wide Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok accounts.
  • Maintain effective communication channels throughout the institutions.
  • Oversee community management, engagement, and online reputation.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, fostering innovation and accountability.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop marketing and communications staff, collaborating with People and Culture on workforce planning initiatives.

This role requires a strong understanding of marketing principles, creative practices, and branding. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience working with diverse teams. A Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, along with at least 10 years of senior marketing experience, is preferred.
