About the Role

Massey Henry is pleased to support the search for a highly skilled Strategic Investment Leader on behalf of the Building Ontario Fund. The Building Ontario Fund is a new, independent, board-governed, crown agency that enables public-sector pension plans, other trusted institutional investors, and Indigenous communities to participate in large-scale infrastructure projects across the province.

The Strategic Investment Leader reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for developing and overseeing the investment strategy of the Building Ontario Fund, effectively allocating risk amongst the entity and other investors.

This strategic role offers exposure across the financial services and/or infrastructure industries and government organizations, requiring a deep understanding of the Canadian infrastructure sector and extensive knowledge of investment and risk management, capital markets, securities analysis, and asset allocation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the investment strategy of the Building Ontario Fund.
  • Effectively allocate risk amongst the entity and other investors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive business growth and success.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in investment and risk management, capital markets, securities analysis, and asset allocation.
  • Extensive experience working in the financial services and/or infrastructure industries and government organizations.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
About the Opportunity

This opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $400,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. The location is based in Ontario, Canada.
