Job Title: Executive Sous Chef
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to lead our culinary team at Accor Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the kitchen team to deliver exceptional service and quality food
- Develop and implement menu plans to meet customer demands
- Manage inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize costs
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high standards of quality and service
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior sous chef or chef de cuisine role
- Demonstrated passion for cuisine, guest experience, and colleague engagement
- Strong understanding of local food products and culinary trends
- Food Safe level 1 or VCH recognized equivalent certification
- Interprovincial Red Seal or equivalent certification an asset
Physical Demands:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
