Job Summary
We're seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Bar George. As a key team player, you'll be responsible for assisting the Chef and collaborating closely with the rest of the restaurant team. Your primary focus will be on executing daily prep, following recipes with ease, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily prep and follow recipes with ease
- Take pride in your station and consistently monitor kitchen operations and cleanliness
- Build and maintain relationships with team members and front of house management alike
- Follow proper ordering, inventory, and receiving procedures
- Show leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and cooking
- Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics, and take every opportunity to promote the restaurant
- Conduct training and development initiatives as well as performance management and employee coaching
- Use conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- 1+ year(s) cooking experience in a fast-paced, high-performing restaurant
- Culinary diploma/degree is an asset
- Well-versed in professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing
