About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll and benefits team, you will be responsible for processing payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process payroll for approximately 500 employees in three provinces, including related government remittances;
  2. Investigate and resolve payroll issues;
  3. Create and execute reports for review and reporting purposes;
  4. Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of annual government reports as required;
  5. Assist in the administration of the benefits program;
  6. Assist in the preparation of new documentation related to employee transfers, moves and promotions;
  7. Perform other related HR activities including new hire support as needed.
Requirements
  1. Full cycle payroll experience;
  2. PCP Certification (or in process of completion);
  3. Experience with Dayforce HCM/Ceridian;
  4. Fluency in English and French is required;
  5. Knowledge of Quebec, Ontario and BC labour legislation;
  6. Experience with hourly, salaried, term and contract personnel;
  7. Ability to exercise discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information;
  8. Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities.
