About the Role

This is a key leadership position within Toronto Community Housing Corp. that requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the corporation's strategic plan, leading enterprise-wide strategic projects, and advising executives to ensure organizational alignment with corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning
    • Manage the corporate strategic planning process to support the objectives and strategic positioning of Toronto Community Housing Corp.
    • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Provide advice to the Executive Leadership Team on achieving strategic goals through the annual business process.
    • Lead the development of metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with multiple business units to develop and implement the strategic plan.
  • Policy Framework
    • Oversee the enterprise policy management framework and policy review process in alignment with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
    • Ensure the corporation is minimizing risk by leading an enterprise-wide approach to policy development and management.
    • Manage enterprise prioritization of policies for review to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
    • Provide guidance to executives and monitor compliance with accepted corporate approach to policy development.
  • Relationship Management Office
    • Lead the Relationship Management Office by acting as a central point of contact and helping to streamline communications with Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation.
    • Chair the TCHC-TSHC Joint Steering Committee meetings and prepare agendas and supporting documentation.
    • Work across divisions to lead the timely resolution of issues that have escalated between TCHC-TSHC.
  • Strategic Projects
    • Provide project management leadership to special projects of strategic value to the corporation.
    • Ensure each project supports TCHC's broader strategy and contributes to the organization's long-term goals.
    • Identify resource needs and work with other divisions to secure the necessary resources.
  • Leadership
    • Provide leadership and effective management of staff, including setting appropriate context and building a positive and productive team.
    • Stay apprised of best practices in project management to support staff development.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, project management, and policy development. They will be able to lead cross-functional teams and provide guidance to executives. The candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
