Your Role and Impact:

The Analyst/Senior Analyst, Strategic Planning position is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires an independent thinker capable of providing strategic and operational support to the executive team and the broader International Card Services (ICS) Canada division. The ideal candidate will possess strong business insight, exceptional organizational abilities, and be adept at building relationships across all organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer planning and coordination assistance to the ICS Leadership Team, including strategic business planning, project oversight, budget management, analytical support, and leadership of specific strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in managing critical strategic processes, including initiatives led by ICS HQ; identify key stakeholders, drive communication efforts, and manage timelines to ensure successful and timely completion.
  • Support the annual strategic planning cycle, tracking essential metrics and scorecards while collaborating with key stakeholder groups to align strategic priorities with financial goals.
  • Facilitate the execution of the team's strategy and long-term planning.
  • Oversee a comprehensive colleague communication strategy, including town halls, All-Hands meetings, business updates, and various digital or written communications.
  • Support colleague engagement initiatives and represent ICS Canada on various committees, task forces, and projects.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and lead projects independently. Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities are essential, along with experience in a strategic role.
  • Flexibility, excellence in execution, and discretion are crucial.
  • Exceptional financial acumen, problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills are required.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across various business units.
  • High level of business insight, strategic thinking, process management, and time management skills.
  • Ability to create clear action plans and drive processes with multiple interdependencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present information effectively across various media.
  • Proven project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks to achieve results within tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of the Canadian financial institution landscape and key compliance regulations affecting our industry.
  • Experience collaborating with key stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operational Excellence, HR, and Risk teams to drive results.
