Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position

The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly qualified individual for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in the School of Social Work at the Okanagan campus.
About the PositionThis is a full-time tenure-track position with a start date of January 1, 2025, although the actual start date is negotiable. The successful candidate will be an emerging scholar with an established record of research, teaching, and/or educational leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Teach in a clinical graduate social work program, with a focus on clinical social work practice.
- Conduct research and publish in reputable academic journals.
- Develop and maintain research partnerships.
- Provide service to the University and the broader academic and professional community.
- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a PhD completed or in progress.
- Established track record of post-secondary teaching, research, and service.
- Knowledge of and experience in clinical social work practice, particularly with Indigenous peoples and/or racialized individuals, couples, or families.
- Proven record of research funding.
- Established research partnerships.

The University of British Columbia offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
