Civil Engineering Faculty Position: Assistant or Associate Professor

Position Overview
The University of British Columbia is seeking applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Associate Professor (tenure track or tenured) in the field of Water Resources Engineering within the Civil Engineering Program.
Department
This role is situated within the School of Engineering, which is part of the Faculty of Applied Science.
Role Expectations
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Establish an independent and internationally recognized research program.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Supervise master's and doctoral students.
- Contribute to the School, University, and community service.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in a field related to civil engineering and be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the relevant engineering body.
Assistant Professor Requirements
Candidates should demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and research. Those who will have successfully defended their doctoral dissertation by the start date will be considered.
Associate Professor Requirements
Applicants should provide evidence of successful teaching, the ability to mentor graduate students, and a record of productive scholarly activity recognized nationally.
