Job Summary

Okanagan College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Student Learning Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will provide academic support to students in Math and Statistics courses.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Attend lectures for assigned course sections and provide individualized learning assistance to students.
  2. Work closely with professors to develop innovative student support activities that promote academic success.
  3. Communicate effectively with professors, learning centre coordinators, and campus managers to ensure seamless delivery of academic support services.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Proficiency in Math and Statistics content.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in academic support or tutoring is an asset. Previous completion of the assigned course with a final mark of 75% or higher is also preferred.
