About the Role


We are currently seeking a Sales and Business Development Professional to fill the Inside Sales Specialist - Datacom position in our Vancouver location.


Your Responsibilities


In this role, you will sell a diverse range of Datcom Structured Cabling Solutions and Products servicing primarily the commercial construction market.


You will provide superior customer service by delivering products and services that exceed customer expectations.


You will process orders to completion and expedite delivery whenever necessary.


Liaise with outside sales force and other employees in the execution of their functions.


Provide sales support for field sales representatives.


Ensure outside sales are provided with up-to-date information and developments regarding common customer accounts.


Actively participate and develop new accounts, build, and generate quotations, manage customer inquiries, manage small, medium Datacom projects.


Work effectively in a team environment collaborating with Outside Sales and Datacom Management on quotation strategies, project management, and customer service.


Skills and Qualifications


Requirements


We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:



  • BA or Post-Secondary preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience sales/sales admin, preferably in Distribution, Datacom/Electrical.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build customer relationships
  • Product and industry knowledge, Datacom and or Electrical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A confident and determined approach
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
  • Self-motivation and drive
  • Experience working with Datacom / Electrical Contractors.
  • Possess strong organizational skill set and ability to consistently re-prioritize based on new internal and external requests and opportunities.
  • Work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment, specifically Excel.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 per year
