About the Role

The Legal Department Coordinator will manage the administration, systems, and operations of Hyundai Auto Canada's Legal Department. This includes collaborating with executive team members, leaders of external legal teams, and various internal and external stakeholders as a liaison between these individuals and the Legal Department.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the intake, handling, and completion of legal and insurance requests from internal clients.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on various projects, providing direction and guidance as needed.
  • Manage high levels of confidential business, financial, and personal information in a professional and conscientious manner.
  • Proactively investigate issues and implement processes to support lawyers in handling requests and navigating issues.
  • Prepare high-quality documents, precedents, and reports for internal clients and external contacts of the Company.
  • Manage and prepare Hyundai Auto Canada's corporate insurance renewal applications.
  • Prepare and maintain the Department's budget, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Manage and maintain corporate records and government filings.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including managing the General Counsel's calendar.
  • Manage files and documents to support internal and external counsel in handling litigation matters.
  • Maintain files and documents relating to internal clients of the Company.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar function or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal management software.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to meet deadlines by prioritizing workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in oral and written communications.
  • High attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
  • Able to work in a highly collaborative environment with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
  • Knowledge of legal concepts, terminology, and processes.

Compensation

We offer an estimated salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
