English Conversation Mentor Volunteer

**Become an English Conversation Mentor Volunteer at Volunteer Manitoba**
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about helping language learners improve their English skills. As an English Conversation Mentor, you will be matched with a Language Partner and engage in informal conversation classes online or in-person.
The ideal candidate is someone who is fluent in English, has teaching experience or certification, and can commit to regular sessions. You will also need to be available on weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays for online classes via Zoom or in-person meetings at the Immigrant Centre or public locations.
This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and are willing to support language learners in achieving their goals. If you have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and patience, we encourage you to apply.
About the Opportunity:
- Estimated annual salary: $45,000 - $55,000 based on 20 hours of volunteer work per week.
- Training and orientation provided.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fluent English speaker with a minimum CLB of 8 or equivalent.
- Adult EAL/ESL teaching experience or certification (e.g., Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language, CTESL).
- Other teaching or tutoring experience is an asset.
- For online classes - experience using Zoom.
- Availability on weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays.
