Women's Online Peer Support Group Facilitator - Mental Wellness Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate facilitator to lead online peer support groups for women struggling with mental health issues. As a Mental Health Advocate Facilitator, you will provide a safe and non-judgmental space for participants to share their experiences and receive support.

Volunteer Manitoba is a self-help organization that empowers individuals to develop and manage mental wellness through peer support, education, and advocacy. Our mission is to help others help themselves by providing a supportive community and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, guide, and manage online peer support groups for women with mental health conditions.
  • Facilitate discussions, activities, and workshops to promote mental wellness and support.
  • Provide guidance and resources to participants as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • English language proficiency
  • Lived or working experience with mental health
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with online platforms
