About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Care to lead our care team at Primacare Living Solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality resident care, ensuring infection control and staff education and orientation are up to standard.
  • Contribute to the quality management program for the nursing department, ensuring required outcomes are achieved.
  • Evaluate and improve standards of resident care and services, ensuring consistency across all departments.
  • Ensure all MOHLTC requirements are met, maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Assume the Director of Care duties in the absence of the Director, demonstrating leadership skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and manage the nursing department budget, making informed financial decisions.
  • Contribute to creating a home environment that embodies the values of Primacare Living Solutions, prioritizing resident comfort and well-being.
Requirements
  • A registered nurse (RN) license is mandatory, with current CNO registration.
  • Nursing Unit Leadership Certificate is preferred, showcasing advanced leadership skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in long-term care or hospital settings, preferably in leadership roles.
  • At least 1 year of management experience in long-term care or hospital settings, highlighting expertise in team leadership.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Empathy and understanding for seniors' needs, ensuring compassionate care.
