ROLE

The Care Leadership Professional will play a key role in the peopleCare Communities team, collaborating with the Director of Care to align resident care. This position is responsible for all aspects of nursing care, directing the work of nursing and personal care staff in the assigned unit.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Physician, Director of Care, and leadership team to deliver quality care.
  2. Assess, diagnose, and evaluate resident conditions, prescribe treatments, and follow up care.
  3. Develop and implement resident care plans, reviewing and evaluating their effectiveness.
  4. Liaise with physicians, supervisors, and other departments to ensure resident care needs are met.
  5. Provide clinical leadership and education to nursing and personal support care team members.
  6. Monitor staff performance and contribute to identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends in resident care.
  7. Participate in the organization's Quality Improvement Plan, utilizing research and best practices.
  8. Delegate responsibilities to staff and perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  1. Nurse Practitioner Certification from a recognized program.
  2. Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as Registered Nurse in the Extended Class or RN (EC), in good standing.
  3. Advanced knowledge and decision-making skills in assessment, diagnosis, and healthcare management.
  4. Leadership abilities, excellent written and oral communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
