Job Title: Director of Project Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Project Management to join our team at Canada West Ski Areas Association. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the guest experience across our Nordic skiing and snowshoe trail systems, Tube Park, Hollyburn Lodge, and Nordic Café.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health & Safety/Risk Management: Champion, adhere to, deliver, and promote all OHS company policies, programs, and procedures, including documentation. Ensure all team members have completed annual training and on-boarding, including OHS documentation.
  • Foster a Positive Environment: Create a positive work environment where team members are given the opportunity to grow and expand their skill set and have a rewarding work experience.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and expand existing revenue streams and seek new revenue avenues. Manage operating costs, labor, and margin in all lines of business.
  • Operations Management: Provide oversight and coordination of operations throughout the Nordic area to ensure maximum efficiency. Coordinate with operational support departments (Grooming, Snow Removal, F&B, Maintenance).

Requirements:

  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office and other computer systems and applications.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule according to the demands of the business.
  • 4+ years relevant management experience in the ski industry.
  • Nordic Skiing experience an asset.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Hold a valid BC Driver's License.
  • Season pass(es) for immediate family (including partner and children).
  • Retail and Food discounts.
