About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electronic Instrument Control Technician I to join our team at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, British Columbia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electronic equipment and systems, including access controls, mobile radios, nurse call systems, alarms, paging/intercom systems, patient wandering systems, direct digital controls, building automation systems, and gas-monitoring systems.
  • Investigate and resolve user complaints, perform diagnostic correction and repair, and commission new/modified systems into operation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all electronic equipment and systems, including cleaning, testing, calibrating, and replacing parts as required.
  • Liaise with outside contractors to ensure adherence to contract specifications and facility requirements.
  • Maintain an inventory and recommend purchases of supplies, equipment, and tools, and complete related reports and records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized diploma program in Electronic Technology, plus three (3) years' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Industry and vendor equipment certifications as required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, deal with others effectively, and operate related equipment.
