  1. Design and Implementation: Design and build electronic circuits by acquiring parts, assembling components, and wiring equipment. Install, test, adjust, and commission modifications, and generate appropriate drawings and documentation.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repair: Test, identify faults, calibrate, and repair computerized hardware, solid-state logic boards, and related equipment of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system.
  3. Problem-Solving and Maintenance: Design and implement solutions to issues and problems by reviewing work requests and consulting with user departments regarding specifications and other project requirements. Interpret existing or prepare new sketches, diagrams, or schematic drawings to determine the sequence of operations, project scope, and required materials and equipment. 4. Preventative Maintenance: Carry out preventative maintenance on all electronic components of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system by cleaning, testing, calibrating, and replacing parts as required. Maintain appropriate documentation.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to determine the availability and cost of systems/parts. Where required, obtain guidance on their installation and use. Assess factors such as condition, age, and functionality to determine repair, modification, or replacement. Prepare for work projects by performing operational and safety risk assessments. Arrange work schedules with user departments and assemble supplies, tools, and equipment.
  6. Technical Support: Modify existing computer applications by inputting instructions, making adjustments to databases and/or programs. Evaluate computerized hardware and related equipment of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system for technical acceptance to ensure conformance with specifications, correcting faults where necessary.
  7. User Support: Investigate and solve user-complaints, as identified by engineers, in the maintenance and repair of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. Instruct staff in the operation of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system.
  8. Instrumentation and Controls: Test, identify faults, calibrate, and repair pneumatic instrumentation associated with steam boilers. Provide technical support to staff to resolve problems with electronic systems by analyzing, testing, and repairing electronic components.
  9. Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory and recommend purchases of supplies, equipment, and tools. Complete related reports and records.
  10. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned.
