Meet Your Future Team: You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and collaborate closely with fellow maintenance technicians and mechanics to ensure routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of machinery are conducted to maintain optimal performance and availability. Additionally, you will be instrumental in the installation of new equipment as Arc'teryx continues to innovate and expand its operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support advanced distribution automation systems in a high-volume environment.
- Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment, including automated systems that enhance operational efficiency.
- Gain expertise in technical garment manufacturing and automated distribution technologies.
- Work alongside the maintenance team and cross-functional partners to proactively identify and implement improvements in machinery performance.
- Encourage a culture of learning, providing mentorship and identifying enhancements to operational processes.
- Lead or assist in various projects within the maintenance department, particularly focusing on the implementation of a state-of-the-art automated distribution system.
Future Opportunities:
- Procure necessary tools and equipment to support the facility's evolution into a cutting-edge manufacturing site, with potential for exciting project-based work as the company grows.
- Take a leading role in future automation initiatives within the distribution center.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Health & Safety teams to share technical insights and drive safety initiatives for process enhancements.
- Provide guidance and support to the Maintenance team, contributing to Arc'teryx's future success and growth.
Qualifications:
- Trade Certificate in Automation, Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience with a strong focus on coaching and mentoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with team members and management.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar technical capacity, demonstrating hands-on expertise in mechanical system maintenance and repair.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and troubleshooting techniques, with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and develop effective solutions with attention to detail.
- Experience with a CMMS platform is preferred.
- Experience with CMC and Autostore (or similar systems) is an asset but not mandatory.
