Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our team at FCC Construction. As an Electrical Estimator/Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for various commercial & industrial construction projects, engaging in various responsibilities from budget analysis, issuing subcontracts, scope reviews, requisitions, change management and ongoing communication to complete projects, and consistently meeting client requirements for safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing estimates for various commercial & industrial construction projects
  • Engaging in various responsibilities from budget analysis, issuing subcontracts, scope reviews, requisitions, change management and ongoing communication to complete projects
  • Scheduling drawing submittals, hardware and delivery of material to jobsites as well as submitting monthly progress claims and approving invoices
  • Consistently meeting client requirements for safety, quality, schedule, and cost
  • Recognizing key issues and acting in a timely manner to expedite solutions both internally and externally
  • Interpreting construction drawings and specifications to understand Project requirements and interfacing with Clients
  • Accurately preparing material take-offs, estimates, bid letters, and schedules in a timely manner
  • Utilizing estimating software and expanding software capabilities
  • Soliciting subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Preparing construction schedules
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Electrical engineering/technology background required (Degree or diploma from an accredited institution)
  • Exposure to working in general contracting or the construction management sector considered a definite asset
  • Industrial experience would be considered an asset
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Project, Project cost control software and project management software required
