About this Role


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at Bethany Care Society. As a key member of our scheduling office, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of staff schedules.



Responsibilities:

  • Resident-Centered Care: You will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling of nursing staff, ensuring that all scheduling data is accurate and up-to-date. This includes allocating relief staff, distributing schedules to nursing units, and responding to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Documentation: You will maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of staff schedules, adhering to Bethany's policies and procedures. Additionally, you will ensure that all necessary information is forwarded to payroll within established timelines.
  • Safety: You will contribute to a safe environment for residents, staff, and yourself by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices at all times.
  • Pro-active Learner: As a representative of Bethany, you will demonstrate our vision and values while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with colleagues.
  • Team Work: You will foster a sense of teamwork and cooperation among staff members, promoting effective communication and a responsible atmosphere of resident-centered care.


Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in electronic scheduling, preferably in healthcare
  • Previous experience working with geriatric populations is an asset
  • Able to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to understand, speak, read, and write effectively in English
  • Excellent observation, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Familiarity with union agreements and their impact on payroll and finance


Benefits:
