Lawyer and Patent Agent - Intellectual Property (Chemistry)

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with leading professionals in a creative and multi-disciplinary environment. This is an ideal position for someone who is passionate about exceeding clients' goals and making a difference.

Our Intellectual Property (IP) practice is one of the core areas of our firm, and our clients benefit from our specialized IP services. Many of our IP lawyers, trademark agents, and patent agents are consistently ranked as leading practitioners in international publications. Our national IP group offers expertise in the protection, enforcement, and commercialization of IP.

We Are Looking for
  • A lawyer and qualified Canadian Patent Agent with an advanced degree in Chemistry.
  • The candidate should have 3+ years of experience drafting patent specifications and prosecuting patent applications in Canada and the US, as well as working with patent firms in other jurisdictions.
  • Experience in IP transactional/commercial work and trademarks is an asset.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Interpersonal skills for collaborative work with colleagues and clients.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
