About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Business Development Professional to join our team in the Greater Toronto area. This is a 100% commissioned role, with a fixed guarantee amount for the first 6 months and variable incentives.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled sales professional to work with real estate agents, home builders, lawyers, and other centers of influence to generate retail mortgage business. You will provide exceptional service and advice to new members introduced to Meridian, while meeting your business plan objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and close mortgage and home equity line of credit referrals from realtors, builders, lawyers, accountants, financial planners, and other centers of influence
  • Provide sound credit recommendations and solutions to meet the unique needs of each member
  • Meet with members at their home or place of business to process their mortgage application
  • Ensure profitability of all transactions by applying rates, fees, and service charges appropriately
  • Responsible for attaining individual targets for sales and referrals as agreed upon in the annual performance planning cycle
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all Meridian products and services to deepen and enhance member relationships
