We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Program Manager to join our team at Tree Island Steel in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing organizational health and safety programs across all Canadian facilities in accordance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.

This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in occupational health and safety, with a diploma or degree in the field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety procedures, manuals, and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement precautionary measures.
  • Investigate incidents and develop recommendations to prevent re-occurrences.
  • Manage WorkSafeBC and WCB Alberta claims, as well as coordinate return-to-work programs.
  • Provide training and education on health and safety matters to employees and management.
  • Maintain records and report on health and safety statistics and trends.

A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year is offered for this position, based on qualifications and experience.
