Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health and Addiction Services Coordinator. In this role, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide support and guidance to patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Engage staff in clinical and process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and evaluate processes to ensure effective service delivery and quality improvement.
- Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives, including standards of care, staff education, and facilitating family advisory groups.
- Collaborate with mental health and addiction managers, coordinators, clinical resource team members, physician leads, organizational quality council, and family advisory groups to achieve shared goals.
- Represent the program team at various internal and external meetings, presenting quality improvement results at professional conferences and meetings.
- Master's degree in a relevant health science field and three years' recent experience in mental health and addiction education.
- Experience in facilitating change, group process, team building, and quality improvement initiatives or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Eligibility for registration in the applicable governing body.
- Valid BC driver's license for local area travel, with mileage reimbursement provided.
- Excellent communication skills to function effectively within a complex interdisciplinary environment, including ability to communicate with physicians.
- Able to deal with others in a respectful and professional manner.
- Utilizes initiative, vision, independent thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities to implement program plans and initiatives.
- Demonstrates ability to understand and analyze complex information, identifying potential process changes to improve resource utilization.
- Displays leadership skills to coordinate resources, advance priorities, and promote collaboration and commitment of key stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare disciplines and their role in mental health and addiction procedures/processes.
- Broad knowledge of clinical practice, including comprehensive and coordinated care for mental health and addiction, using agreed-upon best practice quality improvement measures, guidelines, and protocols.
- Broad knowledge of research methodology and processes, including analytical and evaluation skills.
The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $42.27/Hr. and $52.81/Hr., based on the location in Richmond, BC, and industry standards.
