Job Summary

The Executive Director provides strategic leadership to ensure seamless, patient-focused care across community and hospital settings. This role leads a multidisciplinary health services team, driving initiatives that optimize resources, enhance care outcomes, and support the integration of health services across Fraser Health.

In collaboration with regional program leaders, staff, medical staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders, the Executive Director plays a pivotal role in designing and sustaining health services that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This position is accountable for program development and ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, values, and strategic goals, fostering innovation and continuous improvement in quality health care delivery and financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in strategic planning, future visioning, goal setting, and decision-making processes for the Health Service Community and its integration with the Community Hospital and other partnerships across Fraser Health.
  2. Identify short, medium, and long-term objectives, plans, programs, and services. Assess options and make recommendations for strategic and operational decisions.
  3. Represent Fraser Health, the Community Hospital, and the Health Services area with stakeholders, patients/residents/clients, and families. Maintain effective relationships with municipal leaders through regular updates and discussions.
  4. Assist in identifying and removing barriers to a seamless system of care across the community and the hospital and across other programs and services.
  5. Accountable for the annual operating and capital budget for the Community Hospital and the Health Services area. Work within the approved financial mandate, recommend and establish program/service priorities.
  6. Identify and review proposals for new or expanded programs following a system and team-based approach; monitor evaluation of existing programs to ensure effective resource allocation and/or the development of new funding sources.
  7. Participate in the development and delivery of health services in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members; establish monitoring and reporting systems to identify and follow up on deficiencies in patient care services.
  8. Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement processes; ensure that appropriate quality of care measures are in place and compatible with industry standards and accreditation bodies.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

Master's degree in a health-related field supplemented with ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of progressively senior management experience including leadership in a large healthcare organization.
