The Executive Director, Health Services Area, plays a pivotal role in leading a multidisciplinary health services team to drive strategic initiatives that optimize resources, enhance care outcomes, and support the integration of health services across Fraser Health.
This senior leadership position is accountable for program development and ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, values, and strategic goals, fostering innovation and continuous improvement in quality health care delivery and financial stewardship.
The Executive Director collaborates with regional program leaders, staff, medical staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders to design and sustain health services that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
With a focus on building partnerships and improving system-wide care, the Executive Director ensures that Fraser Health remains at the forefront of patient-centered care, promoting collaboration across teams and driving impactful, sustainable health care solutions.
Responsibilities- Participates in strategic planning, future visioning, goal setting, and decision-making processes for the Health Service Community and its integration with the Community Hospital and other partnerships across Fraser Health.
- Identifies short, medium, and long-term objectives, plans, programs, and services, assessing options and making recommendations for strategic and operational decisions.
- Represents Fraser Health, the Community Hospital, and the Health Services area with stakeholders, patients/residents/clients, and families, maintaining effective relationships with municipal leaders through regular updates and discussions.
- Assists in identifying and removing barriers to a seamless system of care across the community and the hospital and across other programs and services, working with Executive Directors of Regional Programs on issues of program support and services.
- Accountable for the annual operating and capital budget for the Community Hospital and the Health Services area, working within the approved financial mandate, recommending and establishing program/service priorities.
- Identifies and reviews proposals for new or expanded programs following a system and team-based approach, monitoring evaluation of existing programs to ensure effective resource allocation and/or the development of new funding sources.
- Participates in the development and delivery of health services in collaboration with physicians and other health care team members, establishing monitoring and reporting systems to identify and follow up on deficiencies in patient care services.
- Participates in the development and implementation of quality improvement processes, ensuring that appropriate quality of care measures are in place and compatible with industry standards and accreditation bodies.
- Provides leadership to support engagement for physicians, staff, and volunteers, maintaining partnerships with Foundations to ensure common understanding of objectives and program needs.
