At Bridgewater Retirement Centre Inc., we are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our residents. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and experience in the culinary industry. Key responsibilities include preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, preparing and cooking special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef, and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and ordering supplies and equipment. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
* Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
* Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
* Inspect kitchens and food service areas
* Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
* Order supplies and equipment
* Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
* Clean kitchen and work areas

**Requirements:**

* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
* Experience in the culinary industry
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail
